Wiwat Umpoh, is a Senior Associate at The Capital Law Office who has over 15 years’ experience in litigation focusing on tax litigation, business and commercial disputes relating to financial, insurance both life and non-life insurance, as well as enforcement of debts and security. He has represented clients in many significant and complex litigations cases including criminal cases and administrative cases. He also represents clients in bankruptcy and business reorganization proceedings.

Represented a global leading professional services firm, as the plan preparer for a multinational cable and wire manufacturer in Thailand (Company) in a civil lawsuit seeking damages against former executives of the Company and individuals on the basis of wrongful acts valued at more than THB 30 billion (approximately USD 909 million).

Represented a publicly listed reputable real estate company in Thailand, in a civil and criminal lawsuit against former executives and individuals on the basis of the violation of the Securities and Exchange Act B.E. 2535 against the Company valued at more than THB 800 million (approximately USD 24 million).

Represented one of the most renowned Thai universities in challenging the order of the Revenue Department in relation to the VAT refund before the Central Tax Court valued at more than THB 81 million (approximately USD 2.45 million).

Represented an investor in a listed real estate company and the listed real estate company in Thailand in their defence against the shareholder meeting cancellation lawsuit.

Represented an investor in a listed real estate company on the basis of alleged violation of the Securities and Exchange Act B.E. 2535 and the Public Limited Company Act B.E. 2535 of Thailand.
